In Jaunary 2007, Consumer Reports (CR) was removed from his recent report on child carseats. Why? CR said that 10 of the 12 infant carseats are not only insurance, and in fact recommended the withdrawal of a particular car seat.
Now, the CR-frontal crash tests of the impact should be carried out at 35 miles per hour, and side impact crash tests on infant carseats be carried out at 38.5 mph. NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) has denied the allegations and said the Consumer Reports Crash Test were more likely to place more than 70 mph.
This difference is huge and, apparently, CR also found that report may contain errors and eliminated.
Puzzled Parents concerned Manufacturers
The CR report understandably caused great concern among parents of infants and children, wondering if her baby carseats are now very safe for people who are their very little. Manufacturers are also Carseat concerned perplexed and confused by the search reports of the federal rule, when all carseats have passed the mandate of accidents.
We understand concerns and are really happy that the Republic of Korea has taken proactive measures to eliminate the report pending further investigations.
Some are marks than others?
The report, CR does not mention that two infant carseats achieved good results – the Baby Trend Flex-Loc and the Graco SnugRide with EPS. This is a little help thinking – if these two infant carseats and perform according to CR under crash tests of 70 mph over h, we can say that they perform well or even better, 35/38.5 kmh? Hmmm … I would.
What should I buy?
Encore once, this does not mean the other carseats are not well made. They should be, as they all went through of rigorous testing. But if I buy a newborn Tomorrow Carseat for my baby, I can tell my options are very clear. Two of them, actually.
