The Seven Top Questions to Ask Before Buying a Side by Side Double Stroller

There are so many different brands of double strollers with so many different features and accessories that it can be quite overwhelming trying to decide on a particular brand. You can pat yourself on the back that you have at least decided what type of stroller you want to purchase. Now you just have to decide on the brand. Before you go shopping for a side by side double stroller, you and your significant other need to answer the following questions?

1)How Much Money Can You Afford To Spend

Before you begin shopping have a budget in mind. Be aware that this is a product that will have to last you many years. Being cheap now could cost you in the long run.

2)How Much Space Do You Have?

There are now side by side double strollers of varying widths. In addition some will fold up smaller than others. Do you have a big SUV or min-van that will easily fit this double stroller? Or do you have a small sedan that will only hold a narrower version.

3)What Features Do You Want?

Decide when, where, and how you plan to use your side by side double stroller. Don’t purchase a brand with a simple wheel and plan on using it over rugged terrain. You will be very disappointed.

If Grandma lives down the street and plans on taking the children out for a walk around the block on nice days do not expect her to be able to push a very heavy double stroller. Or, if you plan on pushing it for hours a day on trips to the mall or on vacations at amusement parks a lightweight stroller might be preferable so you will not tire out.

5)How Often Will You Plan On Using The Stroller?

Are you only going to use the stroller a few times a week for quick trips to the store? If so you do not need to purchase the most sturdy of double strollers. Are you going to be traveling with this double stroller quite frequently and is it going to be pushed for hours on end over all different terrains? If so than a well-built brand will be you primary concern.

6)What Type Of Accessories Do You Wish To Add?

If there are certain “must have” accessories that you want, be sure the brand you choose will be able to fit those accessories. Some brands have a lot of add-ons made just for them and others rely on generic additions to fit the double stroller.

7)Under What Conditions Will You Use The Stroller?

Is the stroller going to be going to the beach or walking along a snowy cold sidewalk? Is it going to be packed up and put on an airplane for your frequent travels? Are you going to be taking walks along pebbled paths or jogging along running trails? All of these factors will help decide which brand of double stroller you should purchase.
